ANTHROPOLOGIE GIVEAWAY + SUMMER FUN!

This Giveaway is now closed.  Thanks to all who entered!

Summer can get so busy with all the summer fun to be had; and this past week was just that for me!
I kinda have a lot going on in this post so bear with me!

First I wanna let you know that I’m on Blog Lovin.  I recently imported all the blogs that I followed in Google Reader to Blog Lovin!  I don’t know what took me so long, it’s a great way to read and organize the blogs that I like to read.  Looove it!
Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Second, I’m having my first Giveaway!  I found these adorable Whale measuring cups and Merfolk tea towels at Anthropologie and I'm smitten with them.  They are totally summery, and I just love the shades of blue and aqua!  I did not receive the items from Anthropologie; I just loved them and bought them as a great gift to give to one reader as a thank-you for following Loaves n Dishes!

And finally, I wanna tell you what I’ve been up to (why I haven’t been posting) last week!

Billy and I took a day trip to Miami Beach (SoBe).  We spent the afternoon having lunch at 11th Street Diner a DDD featured restaurant that Billy wanted to check out.  A stop in front of the Versace Mansion on Ocean Drive is always cool.  We also took a walk on the beach that was covered in tanned, fit bodies.

You know how you pick up one those itty bitty strings that are supposed to be a bathing suit and you wonder who on earth can wear that...the girls who frequent this beach can:(  It's a frowny face because I'm happier when I believe that know one looks good in those suits.

Colorful lifeguard towers dot the white sand of South Miami Beach.
We only live about an hour north of here, but our water doesn't have that turquoise hue!

We stopped by one of our favorite haunts News Cafe for iced coffee, it's open 24 hours has great food and it's a great place for people watching.

Since it was rush hour when we were ready to go home we decided to drive highway A1A to go home.  A1A is the road that goes up the coast, it's not so fast, but it's scenic.  Needing to eat dinner, I remembered that Grampa's Bakery,  was another DDD featured restaurant in Dania Beach.  Yes two Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives restaurants in one day...we're crazy like that!

For the 4th of July we spent the evening on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.  Delray is a happening little city that has some kind of festival, or art show going on at least once a month.  There are also lots of restaurants up and down the Ave.  A couple of good ones...Caffe Martier for lunch, and Tramonti for dinner.

We watched the fireworks at Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.
No matter which weekend it is, this street is always hopping!

Billy and I were invited by our friends Bob and Laura to they're new place in The Lower Keys for the weekend along with our buddies John & Tammy.

The gateway to the Florida Keys...here we go!

On our first night we captured the Killer Key Deer on camera!

Sunrise...I could wake up to this every morning!

By morning light the Killer Key Deer look cute and cuddly.

Don't let the spots and cuteness fool you; this ain't Bambi!

Bob & Laura took us to the Blue Hole to see a couple of alligators which live there, but we didn't see them.  We did see plenty of turtles, and birds.

People of the Keys are laid back and super friendly.
One of the friendly local residents pointed out this lovely to me at the Blue Hole.

We dined at the Square Grouper on Cudjoe Key, really yummy!
If you're curious you may research what a square grouper actually is.  Hint: it's not a fish, and it's not legal!

This is sooo the Keys!

It was too cloudy to see the sun actually set at the Sunset Pier in Key West, but the tourists and entertainers still packed the place!
After the sunset in Key West we had dessert at Square One, Laura had eaten there in the past and loved it...it was definitely a good call by Laura!

Laura made us Dutch Babies for our good-bye breakfast...so yummy!
You know I'll be recreating this!

We didn't see any whales...but we did see frolicking dolphins.

I even like how these ceramic whales look when they're neatly stacked.

The store couldn't keep these towels in stock.  They are 100% cotton, and measure 21 x 28 inches.  The top, bubbles and fish on the Mermaid towel are embroidered; and on the Merman towel the top and mustache are embroidered.

This gift is valued at $70.

I'll be drawing for this summery fun gift for the kitchen in one week, on July 16th, 2013!  The drawing is open to addresses in the U.S and Canada.
